Our wedding ceremony and picnic will take place entirely outdoors with plenty of room to move around. The after-party venue has both indoor and outdoor spaces. We understand that you will need to cancel if you are experiencing Covid-like symptoms or have been exposed to someone with Covid-19.
Ceremony is set for 4:30 pm, but we encourage you to arrive a little early to enjoy the gorgeous coastline! The official address is 6331 Carlsbad Blvd, Carlsbad, CA 92008
Yes! For the wedding ceremony, there is street parking in the Island Way neighborhood, just to the east of the wedding site. There is also parking just to the north of the wedding site in the North Ponto State Park parking lot. For the after-party, there is street parking all around Solterra Winery and Kitchen.
Historically, for September 24th - 75 degrees with a strong sun during the day, and a chilly 65 when the sun goes down. (Please pray for the usual weather!!!) Ladies may want to bring a wrap to the ceremony if they're staying past sunset, as it could feel very cold after a hot sunny afternoon.
The dress code is 'Campground Chic.' Think sundresses, slacks and short sleeved button-ups. Sandals and flip flops are completely acceptable. The ceremony/picnic is at a campsite with beach access - gravel and sand - so leave the stilettos at home. : ) After-party Attire: If you would like to change into something warmer/dressier for the after party, please do. (You do not need to change clothes, but know that the temp will drop when the sun goes down.)
So, when two middle aged folk get together they start out with 7 of everything. Then, when they combine households, somehow, someway this turns into 15+ of everything, because all of their things birth other things. So, bring us well wishes, your kisses and a smile, prayers for a beautiful life, and most importantly, your presence.
