Diane and Jared started talking online in September of 2015 for about a month before meeting in person. Once their schedules matched up, Diane met Jared at his townhouse in Woodbridge, VA. She brought her dog Fawn with her in case Jared turned out to be some weirdo. (You never know with online dating!) Fawn immediately like Jared and his dog Berlin so Diane figured she'd give Jared a chance. They hung out and talked for 4 hours. The next day, they went to the zoo and brought Sawyer, Jared's then 1 year old son. A few weeks later Diane said she just wanted to be friends for the moment. That lasted until the week before Christmas that year when Diane realized she was in love with Jared. Jared had long ago figured out he had fallen for her and was just waiting on Diane. They officially started dating, which was no surprise to their family and friends. Jared was going through a divorce at the time they started dating. Eventually, all the boys, Jared, Sawyer, and Berlin, moved into Diane's house, where she lived with her grandfather. So, Diane's house went from being quiet with 2 people, 2 dogs, and 2 cats to a little zoo! 4 people, 3 dogs, and 2 cats. Somehow it all worked.
