Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Diandra Salvatore and Draper Bender
For anyone who knows this wedding couple, you must know our relationship is 50% love, 50% what are we going to eat?! Every time we are back home in Philly, our days revolve around what is Draper going to eat. So here are a few things and places we love to visit.

Reading Terminal Market

1136 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

Philly’s very famous indoor market, where you can find anything & everything to eat. Draper’s favorite is the apple dumplings at the Dutch Eating Place, and Diandra’s favorite is Hershel’s Deli & Famous 4th Street Cookie Company.

Geno’s or Pat’s King of Steaks

1219 S Ninth Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147

Sitting diagonally across the corner from each other at the southern tip of Philly's Italian Market are the city's famous rival cheesesteak joints: Pat's King of Steaks and Geno's Steaks. Have one of each and see who is your favorite!

If you haven’t had a cheesesteak from Angelo’s, are you even in Philly?!

736 S 9th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147

Angelo’s Pizzeria is Draper’s all time favorite place for cheesesteaks AND pizza. If you are lucky enough to get through the line (it will be down the block), you are for sure in for a treat.

The Franklin Fountain

116 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106

A recreation of a 1915 ice cream parlor, serving ice cream, baked goods, and sodas, made on-site using local ingredients. Diandra’s favorite ice cream parlor: go for the Lightning Rod or Mt. Vesuvius. Draper orders an entire apple pie, for himself.

Spruce Street Harbor Park

301 S. Columbus Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Enjoy a relaxing evening along the river, once night falls, the entire area is lit up by LED lights. You can grab good bites from the food trucks on site, while lounging in an over sized hammock, with views of the bridge on the water.

A city full of history

If you’ve never been to Philly, you’re in for a treat (and not just cheesesteaks)! This city is packed with history on every corner. Check out some of the must-sees like the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and Betsy Ross House. And you can’t forget to run up the Rocky Steps & take a picture with Rocky’s statue at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Fun Fact: it’s right behind our wedding venue! Fun stuff for the Little Ones nearby: The Please Touch Museum, The Philadelphia Zoo & The Franklin Institute.
