Question

When will the soon-to-be-married couple arrive?

Answer

We will be arriving Thursday June 3rd in the afternoon. If you arrive before the Wedding date, be sure to let Diana + Laura know so we can welcome you and catch up over drinks. Diana and I will be staying at the resort through the week following our wedding (6/3 - 6/10). If you would like to join us for a couple tours / activities, let us know ahead time to coordinate. We plan to take a jungle tour, tequila tasting tour and a historical tour of Puerto Vallarta. Plus various water excursions / activities.

Question

What is the cost of the hotel room and what type of rooms are available?

Answer

There is a couple affordable options available at The Westin Resort and Hotel for rooms and all-inclusive packages. These prices are available through the discount code link found in the Travel section of this website. 1. The discounted double bed partial ocean view room (3 person capacity) = $75 / night plus taxes. 2. The double bed partial ocean view room plus all inclusive option for 2 people = $190 / night plus taxes. 3. All inclusive package = $89 per person per night When booking through the discounted code link, you will be asked to enter a credit card information as a place holder for your reservation. The card will not be charged until you arrive to the Resort and check in. I believe these are very affordable prices as well as a great option for an all-inclusive package. Diana and I want to relax and enjoy the resort with our family and friends.

Question

What should I expect concerning face mask policy while being in The Westin Resort?

Answer

The Westin Resort has implemented a face mas policy for all guests and staff members to wear while on the property. There are multiple hand washing stations and hand sanitizer stations throughout the property to maintain cleanliness and safety parameters. If guests are eating or enjoying a dip in the lovely ocean water or in the pools, no face masks are required. All staff members on the property will be wearing face masks at all times for their own protection and the protection of those they come in contact with.

Question

The Westin Resort / COVID-19 General Information

Answer

Emergency Preparedness and Response Teams: We have been actively monitoring and responding to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation since its emergence late last year. We quickly launched dedicated emergency preparedness and response teams, all focused on preserving the safety and well-being of our Owners, Members, guests and associates. Our corporate and site leadership teams continue to closely monitor the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and local health department guidance, including any guidelines that may be issued by local health departments regarding recommended hygiene standards. As we continue our already enhanced cleaning processes, we are also working closely with our industry and vendor partners in the event any new guidance is released.

Question

How is COVID-19 impacting the wedding site (The Wesin)? Operational Update 1

Answer

Social Distancing Guidelines: Across our resorts, we have adjusted our resort operations to support social distancing and decreased gathering sizes. These adjustments have been in response to mandates that continue to be implemented across the country, as well as guidance issued by governmental authorities, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization. We have taken these measures in an attempt to ensure the health and safety of our Owners and guests, as well as that of our associates.

Question

How is COVID-19 impacting the wedding site (The Wesin)? Operational Update 2

Answer

In Preparation For Your Arrival: Where currently permitted, we are taking steps to gradually restore previously closed or modified amenities and services across many of our resorts. However, in the days and weeks ahead, the availability of on-site amenities and services will continue to be limited. Adjustments will continue to be made in response to government mandates, as well as modified operational protocols that we are implementing across our resort portfolio. For the current status of amenities and services at a specific resort, please visit our Resort Updates page.

Question

How is COVID-19 impacting the wedding site (The Wesin)? Operational Update 3

Answer

Vacation with Peace of Mind: Examples of changes that you should expect to see in the weeks ahead at our resorts include, where permitted and as applicable: reduced pool deck seating capacity, occupancy restrictions in common areas and certain amenities and facilities, closure of Kids Clubs and activity centers, and signage throughout resort campuses to remind everyone of social distancing requirements. Our enhanced cleaning standards complement our Owners, Members and guests’ own positive actions to stay healthy: washing hands thoroughly and consistently; covering a cough or a sneeze; social distancing, both on property and off; avoiding unnecessary personal contact such as shaking hands; wearing face coverings; and avoiding public spaces — and refraining from travel — when not feeling well.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

This is not a black tie event but we would like for guests to dress in beach attire including linen pants, short-sleeved button downs, maxi dresses, and sandals. We would like for our guests to be comfortable during our special event the whole weekend.

Question

Where can I get money exchanged (dollars to pesos)?

Answer

We suggest exchanging dollars into pesos before you leave on your trip. We have exchanged money from our bank prior to our trips and it makes it much easier and less of a hassle when we arrive to Mexico. Remember, $1 dollar = $19 pesos (approximately). You can also get money exchanged at the airport.
