The day began the way many of our happiest days do — with an early morning walk alongside our beloved pups, Luna and Monkey. Wrapped in the quiet peace of the morning, we enjoyed each other’s company before Arturo prepared one of Diana’s favorite breakfasts: steak and eggs with avocado and red salsa. What Diana didn’t know was that this ordinary start was setting the stage for something extraordinary. After breakfast, Arturo dropped Diana at home before heading out “for a haircut.” Before leaving, he hugged her unusually tight, leaving her both puzzled and curious. When Diana opened the door, she was greeted by a breathtaking bouquet of white roses and a box holding a handwritten letter and a dress she had once wanted but decided not to buy. The letter ended simply: “See you at 5.” At five o’clock, Diana waited by the door, expecting only Arturo. But when she opened it, she was met with the joyous sound of a mariachi band. To end the evening, Diana and Arturo honored God by praying for each other and for the family they hope to build.
