In the summer of June 2024, our church hosted a Sunday night volleyball gathering, and that is where our story began. What started as a simple night of fun quickly became something much more meaningful. As the evening came to an end, we found ourselves lingering with a small group of friends, talking and getting to know one another. He shared about his life, and she did the same. We became so captivated by each other’s stories that hours passed without us noticing—we stayed until about 2 a.m., talking, laughing, and realizing there was a special connection between us. It felt as though we could have stayed there forever. After that Sunday, we continued to stay in touch—seeing each other at volleyball on Sundays, spending time with friends, and crossing paths more often at church, young adult ministry, and even the gym. Over time, a strong friendship began to form. We grew close, learning each other’s hearts, values, and love for the Lord. Eventually, Noe asked Diana on a date, and she said yes. From that moment on, we became inseparable. More importantly, we began to see how the Lord was working in both of our lives. We encouraged one another in our walks with Christ, striving to live out Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Walking alongside each other in faith has truly been one of the greatest blessings. As the months passed, our friendship deepened, and so did our love. What began as a friendship slowly grew into something more. In September 2024, Noe asked Diana to be his girlfriend, marking the beginning of a new and intentional chapter in our story. Throughout our relationship, we have experienced both joyful and challenging seasons, yet through it all, God has remained at the center. We have continually reminded ourselves of Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, that “two are better than one,” encouraging and uplifting one another through every step. We have seen how much stronger we are when we walk together in Christ. From the very beginning, we shared the same vision: to pursue a relationship rooted in purpose and guided by God, always keeping marriage in mind. As our relationship grew, so did our commitment—not only to each other, but to honoring the Lord in all that we do. We began preparing for our future through premarital counseling, prayer, and serving side by side, trusting in Proverbs 3:5-6 to guide our path. What started as a simple volleyball night became a testimony of God’s perfect timing and faithfulness. We are grateful for how He brought us together and continue to trust Him as we step into this next season of our lives.

En el verano de junio de 2024, nuestra iglesia organizó una reunión de voleibol los domingos por la noche, y allí comenzó nuestra historia. Lo que empezó como una noche sencilla de diversión rápidamente se convirtió en algo mucho más significativo. Al finalizar la velada, nos quedamos un rato más con un pequeño grupo de amigos, conversando y conociéndonos mejor. Él compartió sobre su vida, y ella hizo lo mismo. Nos sentimos tan cautivados por las historias del otro que las horas pasaron sin darnos cuenta; nos quedamos hasta aproximadamente las 2 a.m., hablando, riendo y dándonos cuenta de que había una conexión especial entre nosotros. Después de ese domingo, continuamos en contacto: nos veíamos en el voleibol los domingos, pasábamos tiempo con amigos y nos cruzábamos con más frecuencia en la iglesia, en el ministerio de jóvenes adultos e incluso en el gimnasio. Con el tiempo, comenzó a formarse una amistad sólida. Nos acercamos, aprendiendo sobre los corazones del otro, nuestros valores y nuestro amor por el Señor. Eventualmente, Noé invitó a Diana a una cita, y ella aceptó. Desde ese momento, nos volvimos inseparables. Más importante aún, comenzamos a ver cómo el Señor estaba obrando en nuestras vidas. Nos alentamos mutuamente en nuestro caminar con Cristo, esforzándonos por vivir según Proverbios 27:17: “Así como el hierro se afila con hierro, así un amigo se afila con su amigo.” Caminar uno al lado del otro en la fe ha sido verdaderamente una de las mayores bendiciones. Con el paso de los meses, nuestra amistad se profundizó, y también nuestro amor. Lo que comenzó como una amistad lentamente creció hasta convertirse en algo más. En septiembre de 2024, Noé le pidió a Diana ser su novia, marcando el comienzo de un nuevo capítulo intencional en nuestra historia. A lo largo de nuestra relación, hemos experimentado temporadas tanto de alegría como de retos, pero a través de todo, Dios ha permanecido en el centro. Siempre nos hemos recordado a nosotros mismos Eclesiastés 4:9-10: “Mejores son dos que uno”, animándonos y apoyándonos mutuamente en cada paso. Hemos visto lo mucho más fuertes que somos cuando caminamos juntos en Cristo. Desde el principio, compartimos la misma visión: perseguir una relación basada en propósito y guiada por Dios, siempre teniendo el matrimonio en mente. A medida que nuestra relación crecía, también lo hacía nuestro compromiso, no solo el uno con el otro, sino también de honrar al Señor en todo lo que hacemos. Comenzamos a prepararnos para nuestro futuro mediante consejería prematrimonial, oración y sirviendo lado a lado, confiando en Proverbios 3:5-6 para guiar nuestro camino. Lo que comenzó como una simple noche de voleibol se ha convertido en un testimonio del perfecto tiempo y la fidelidad de Dios. Estamos agradecidos por cómo nos unió y continuamos confiando en Él mientras damos paso a esta nueva etapa de nuestras vidas.
