Yes, all wedding events are adults-only. This includes Welcome Cocktails on Friday evening as well as the Wedding Ceremony and Reception Saturday. We appreciate your understanding and hope this allows everyone to enjoy both family time as well as the celebrations. Babysitting is available for an additional fee. For information, availability and costs please contact: canif-ayr@hyatt.com .
Although we deeply appreciate the tradition, we’ve decided not to have a Melse — either during the wedding weekend or at a later date. The wedding festivities will be our complete celebration, and we can’t wait to celebrate together then. (And just to be clear - no surprise Melse, please!..Paulos will not go.)
Everyone must complete the electronic entry and exit form, which is required for all passengers arriving in the Dominican Republic. This required form combines the Traveler’s Health Affidavit, Customs Declaration, and International Embarkation/Disembarkation forms. The form can be found here: eticket.migracion.gob.do Please note that a valid passport is required for travel to the Dominican Republic.
The resort is very close to Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) and pre-booked transportation is available through our travel coordinators. Please use this link to book your transportation: https://form.123formbuilder.com/6884576/diana-and-paulos-wedding
Your presence at our wedding is the only gift we are asking for! We do not have a registry.
Punta Cana in June is warm, sunny, and beautiful. Expect high humidity and temperatures in the mid-80s°F. Like any tropical destination, brief rain showers can pop up, but they tend to pass quickly. We'll be monitoring conditions closely and are prepared to pivot event locations if needed, so rest assured you'll still have an amazing time no matter what!
For the Friday Welcome Cocktails, think resort casual - sundresses, linen pants, or polo shirts. Relaxed and vacation-ready. For the Saturday Wedding Ceremony & Reception, we're going tropical cocktail — flowy dresses, linen suits, and vibrant colors are highly encouraged! Keep in mind both events will take place at the beach, so we recommend choosing sand-friendly footwear.
Please note any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP, or reach out to us directly.
No transportation needed - everything is right on property at the resort! Exact venue locations and a day-of schedule will be shared closer to the date so you know exactly where to be and when.
On property, guests can enjoy multiple pools, a private beach, water sports, a spa, fitness center, live entertainment, and a variety of dining and bar options - all included. The resort also offers offsite excursions if you want to explore beyond the property. A few highlights include boat tours of the Cap Cana Marina (one of the largest in the Caribbean), snorkeling at Catalina Island, deep sea fishing, dolphin experiences, jungle buggy adventures, a Santo Domingo city tour, and even a night out at Coco Bongo. There's truly something for everyone! For full excursion details and booking, visit the resort's excursions page or contact the resort directly at pujia-tours@hyatt.com.
The resort has you covered for food, drinks, and entertainment, but here's a packing guide to make sure you're set for the weekend: -Documents: Valid passport, electronic entry and exit form, visa if required -Clothing: Lightweight, breathable fabrics are your friend in the tropical heat — think cotton and linen. Outfits for the welcome cocktails and wedding (see dress code above!), plus casual daywear like sundresses, shorts, and t-shirts -Swimwear: Bring at least two swimsuits so you always have a dry one ready, plus a cover-up for walking around the resort -Footwear: Flip-flops for the beach and pool, comfortable sandals for exploring, and your preferred footwear for the wedding events -Sun protection: Reef-safe sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses — the tropical sun is no joke! -Evening layers: A lightweight wrap or jacket for breezy evenings -Accessories: A tote bag for the beach and/or pool -Personal items: Medications and any toiletries you can't live without — the resort does have a gift shop for anything you forget, but it's always safer to pack the essentials yourself
