A love of outdoors and wildlife brought us together. Nathan and I both worked in the same research lab in Florida working with Northern Bobwhite Quail. We were just work colleagues for the first two years of knowing each other. But a late dinner together one evening had some sparks of curiosity going off in both of our eyes. A wonderful summer in the woods together filled with star gazing, moonlight walks and swims in the hot Florida sun and we soon realized we were quiet the pair. Nathan soon went off to get his Masters degree while Diana got a better job working in Georgia. As they say distance makes the heart grow fonder and two years of Georgia to Texas trips later, Nathan was graduated and now we had two quail biologists with masters degrees together. A few jobs and moves later we are both working for Georgia working to conserve our wildlife and specifically quail. Quail are a social species, and live in groups called coveys which are essentially family. We are excited for the next part of our lives together as a married couple and are excited to be forming our own covey.
