Question

How will Covid-19 impact your plans?

Answer

In light of the ongoing pandemic, we are doing our best to prioritize everyone's safety and well-being. We are planning at this time to go ahead with a smaller in-person wedding at our house. We are inviting extended family and friends to watch the ceremony via Zoom, and join the reception virtually as well. We welcome you to call in via Zoom before the wedding to send us some good advice or well wishes; we will be available online in the hours leading up to our simple ceremony. Everyone is invited to the virtual event, so please consider whether that would be best for you and your family.

Question

What should we know about your wedding?

Answer

We are not wedding people! But we love each other, can't wait to be married, and want to celebrate this special day with you! We want to focus on what is important to us, and cut out the extra frills that we don't enjoy. Our goal is to have a very short and meaningful ceremony, followed by a fun, casual reception with food you can graze when you want to, and simple desserts for later. There will not be a fancy white dress, a DJ or band, an open bar, or a wedding cake. We hope you have fun without all that!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress code is casual! Bright colors and floral prints are encouraged! There will (hopefully) be outdoor activities so wear layers. We want you to be comfortable!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Your kids are welcome, as long as you or another adult in attendance are planning to watch them! We will have kid appropriate food and drinks, and activities appropriate for most ages. Plan on bringing any toys or portable games that they would want, and let us know in advance if there is something specific that will help your whole family enjoy the wedding.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We'd like to know as soon as you decide! We requested an official RSVP date of June 30th, 2021. Due to the difficulty of traveling in current times, we understand if your plans change! Just let us know on our website or by phone.

Question

Are you serving alcohol?

Answer

We are not serving alcohol at our reception. There will be plenty of non-alcoholic options!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

You can certainly let us know, and we will do our best. We also welcome anyone with dietary restrictions to bring their own food and drink if that is easier.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Take a look at the "Schedule" page for events. Let us know if you have any questions!

Question

Will there be a paper invitation?

Answer

We plan to send out invitations in April 2021 for both our virtual and in-person events.

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

Your presence is a present enough for us! For those who can't help themselves, as new homeowners, we are investing time, money, and love into home repairs and greatly appreciate any monetary contributions to that effort! Thank you!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We are planning to start the ceremony at 5 pm, and would like everyone who will be there to arrive by 4:45 pm.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We have a long driveway, and some available street parking in the neighborhood. Please be mindful of our neighbors' property and driveways if using street parking. We encourage you to carpool if you have that option!
