Bde Maka Ska
*This lake is located directly across from the wedding venue.* Largest link in the Chain of Lakes features three beaches, water-sport rentals, a popular playground, and plenty of grass for lounging lakeside. Walkers will enjoy three miles of pedestrian paths that weave around the lake. Once you've worked up an appetite, enjoy a meal at Lola on the Lake, or grab something from Pimento on the Lake.
Lake Harriet
Located south of Bde Maka Ska, Lake Harriet is known for its picturesque mansions lining its shores, and the public gardens on its north shore. Be sure to set aside some time to explore the gardens north of Lake Harriet. The 1.5 acre Lyndale Park Rose Garden is the US's second oldest public rose garden, featuring over 3,000 plants and 100 rose varieties
Mall of America
520 stores, 50 restaurants and extreme entertainment options, including an indoor amusement park. It's very close to the MSP Airport - and there is no sales tax on clothing or shoes in Minnesota!
Minnehaha Falls
Spend a beautiful day at Minnehaha Park. The waterfall and landscape is beautiful and maybe you'll start to see the leaves starting to change in late September!
Mill City Farmers Market
Saturdays starting at 8am. Grab breakfast at one of the local vendors and head over to Gold Medal Park. This wide-open green space park has a pretty cool view of the famous Guthrie Theater and Mill City Ruins.
Minnesota Landscape Arboretum
30 minutes from downtown but worth the drive if you have some time!
