Ryman Auditorium is one of the most well-known performance venues in music–and for good reason (personal favorite for Taylor Swift and Coldplay). It’s the Mother Church of Country Music, the birthplace of bluegrass, and the original home of the Grand Ole Opry where the careers of countless musical legends were launched. Constructed with stunning, unique acoustics and steeped in history, the Ryman offers something for everyone. Offers different tours of the venue. Located right in the heart of downtown Nashville.
The show that made country music famous. The Grand Ole Opry is the stage that showcases country music's past, present, and future. We've been home to the art form's growth and evolution for over 98 years. There are shows almost every night and the venue does tours. This is about a 15-20 minute uber drive from downtown. There is a outlet mall right next door :)
The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum collects, preserves, and interprets the evolving history and traditions of country music. Through exhibits, publications, and educational programs, the Museum teaches its diverse audiences about the enduring beauty and cultural importance of country music. There is a Taylor Swift Exhibition for all you Swifties out there. This is located downtown.
A half-mile stretch along 12th Avenue South called the 12South neighborhood with a vintage clothing store on one end, a gourmet restaurant on the other, and many unique Nashville businesses in between. One of the most walkable neighborhoods in Nashville, 12South is a shopping and dining destination full of restaurants, coffee houses, bakeries, bars, and boutiques featuring local designers and makers. One of Diana and Griff's favorite neighborhood's in Nashville.
Located in the very popular 12th South neighborhood. This is our favorite taco margarita restaurant in Nashville. The margaritas are the best in town and made with fresh lime juice as you order. This is a very popular restaurant, may have a wait but totally worth it!
Nashville is known as one of the top song writing cities in the world. This venue highlights singer/songwriters to the public. The Listening Room started in 2006 with a simple idea: There’s nothing like hearing a great song performed live. Not as background music, not as something you shout to hear yourself over, but as the main attraction. With Music City’s best-sounding venue as the foundation, founder Chris Blair set out to pair it with a food and drink menu centered around the freshest local ingredients.
This is a great website with suggestions and things to do all over Nashville.
