What colors can I wear as a guest?

To help create a cohesive and elegant atmosphere for our celebration, we kindly ask guests to follow these attire guidelines. **Colors to Avoid** Guests please refrain from wearing solid bright white, ivory, burgundy, red, mustard yellow, orange, or gold, as these colors are reserved for the couple and wedding party. Small accents or subtle touches of these tones are absolutely welcome. We also ask that guests avoid heavily bridal-inspired looks, including jacquard fabrics and predominantly white or ivory-based prints. Black attire is welcome; however, we encourage pairing it with a soft pop of color or elegant accessories to complement the sunset-inspired palette of the evening. **Recommended Colors** We invite guests to embrace sunset and coastal evening tones through cocktail attire in soft, muted, or romantic shades such as blush, peach, soft yellows, dusty rose, sage, sand, taupe, brown, mauve, lavender, soft teal, powder blue, slate blue, navy, and gentle floral or neutral prints. **Practical Considerations** Our venue features both beach and lawn spaces, so we suggest wearing attire that is comfortable, breathable, and suitable for outdoor surfaces. What time does the ceremony start and when should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 5:00 PM. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. If you will be traveling across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, please allow yourself extra time as sometimes the bridge has considerable traffic.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Silver Swan Bayside provides parking for all guests attending the event. Upon arrival at the venue, a parking attendant will assist you in finding a parking space. Overnight parking is available in case any guests need to leave their car.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, we’ve chosen to make our wedding an adults-only occasion. We can’t wait to celebrate with you over good food, laughter, and dancing!

Can I bring a guest to the wedding?

Answer

Due to venue capacity, we’re trying to keep our guest list small. That said, feel free to reach out to us about a plus one and we’ll do our best, but we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to accommodate everyone.

I have a food allergy and/or dietary restrictions. Can I make a special request?

Answer

We are aware that some people may have allergies and dietary restrictions. The food served will only accommodate a vegetarian diet and some gluten free selections. For those with serious concerns, please consult with the wait staff at the event prior to partaking. We thank you for your understanding.
