Wedding Party

We are honored for our friends and family to join us on our wedding day.

Brianna Murphy

Maid of Honor

Brianna and Diana have known each other for more than 15 years, and at this point are more like sisters than best friends. Favorite memories include midnight book releases, one small orphaned raccoon, camping in the woods outside Oktoberfest, and accidentally driving into a wildfire in Wyoming.

Thomas Emery

Best Man

Tom and Mark used to share a room together at the old Emery house on Foxwood Drive. As the closest brother to Mark in age, Tom and his always-up-for-a-good-time personality influenced Mark's, as evidenced when the younger brother won "Most Fun to be Around" at Gateway High, just like his sibling four years before.

Erika Mays

Bridesmaid

Erika and Diana met five years ago, living the dream in an overpriced Brooklyn apartment. Their love for horror movies, acting, dancing and deep conversation has kept them connected long after moving out and away from each other. When they're together, you'll find them dreaming up some new creative project over a glass of good wine.

Michael Emery

Best Man

Mike and Mark have been a close "pair" ever since a family trip to Disney World, when they rode the Tower of Terror by themselves at least a half-dozen times and then afterward Mike bought Mark a bottle of Coke with his hard-earned paper-route money. Mark gave a highly acclaimed Best Man speech at Mike's wedding, and now it's the older brother's turn to match it.

Rebecca Gibian

Bridesmaid

Rebecca and Diana met as graduate students in Los Angeles, and have since traveled the world together, reporting stories and getting in and out of trouble along the way. Favorite memories include a summer in Cape Town, one very stressful brainstorm in the rainforest, and a bag of peanuts that may or may not have been purchased in Indonesia.

Daniel Emery

Best Man

The oldest Emery child, Dan often says he'd "lay down in traffic" to help his siblings — and he means it. For Mark, that has included arranging internships in DC and New York, a 21st birthday in New Orleans, and a bachelor party in Chicago. In between there's been delicious steak dinners, short-lived mechanical bull rides, and multiple XL Peanut Butter Oreo Blizzards.

Brigid Nemec

Bridesmaid

Diana's sister-in-law Brigid has brought love, laughter and fun to the family over the last 15 years. Brig is married to Diana's oldest brother Joe, and her love of music, traveling and her son Oliver make every family gathering that much brighter.

Joseph Nemec

Officiant

Diana's oldest brother, Joe is both a groomsman and the wedding officiant. He's a remarkable cook and an endless source of laughter and good fun. One Christmas together, Joe and Mark watched not one, not two, but three Die Hard movies in a single night.

Adrianna Reyna

Bridesmaid

Adrianna and Diana have collected so many incredible memories together. Hiking mountains, taking beach walks, getting bitten by fire ants while searching for frogs at night in Costa Rica - the memories stretch back 15 years, through college and back to junior high school, when there was nothing to do but sit on the carpet, talk and laugh. Adrianna is the definition of kind, authentic and brilliant - to know her is to love her.

Spencer Plassman

Groomsman

Spen lived two doors down from Mark during their freshman year at OU. They bonded over Seinfeld and baseball, quickly becoming best friends and then roommates not long after. This started a streak of living together that spanned one off-campus house in Athens and two apartments in NYC, one of which included bedrooms with no doors and a wall that didn't touch the ceiling. Rarely has more fun ever been had.

Kiley Key

Bridesmaid

Kiley and Diana have known each other for 15 years. From the earliest days of YouTube, to a stray candle that set a room on fire, to a pocket knife and a John Mayer concert, the two of them can't get together without it ending in a legendary (and highly quotable) story. There are no friends like old friends, and all signs indicate the wedding will be another amazing memory to add to the long, long list.

Michael Rattan

Groomsman

Mike has been Mark's best friend since they were kids, when his family moved near the Emerys in Foxwood. They drove to school together, sang in choir together, and just generally laughed their way through their teenage years together. Mike became a Marine officer and spent almost all of his 20s overseas. Even though he lives all the way in Kansas City now, Mark is glad to simply have him stateside once again.

Elizabeth Hitt

Bridesmaid

Elizabeth, affectionately known by her family as Bitsy, is Mark's little sister. Diana has Bitsy to thank for demonstrating how to be a perfect aunt to little ones, and introducing her to a life-changing love for "Hamilton," the Broadway musical. "It's Quiet Uptown" really is a show-stopper.

Cullen Hitt

Groomsman

The new husband of Mark's sister Bitsy, Cullen has an outgoing personality that allows him to fit right in with the Emerys. He's also a good sport. Cullen took it in stride when Mark gave him a gag Christmas gift making fun of the historic loss his No. 1 UVA Hoos suffered in '18. To this day, Mark fears retribution.

Maria Frigo

Bridesmaid

Maria is married to Diana's older brother Brandon, and it's been so much fun to welcome her into the family. Her thoughtfulness and selflessness make difficult times easier to bear - and, she's much better at board games than she gives herself credit for.

Brandon Nemec

Groomsman

Diana's brother Brandon graciously accepted when she and Mark asked if he'd learn to play a song on his guitar for the ceremony. In addition to his love of music, Brandon is as into sports as Mark, meaning the two always have something to talk about despite their competing Philly-versus-Pittsburgh allegiances.
