Welcome to the Athens of the South (so named because of the giant Parthenon replica). Originally built as part of the temporary structures for the Tennessee Centennial Exposition, the Parthenon became so well-loved that the city actually preserved and rebuilt it to last. We definitely recommend stopping in - if the weather is nice, the park has a great walking path!
If the weather's nice, the gardens are absolutely beautiful. You'll want to be sure to bring comfortable shoes and be ready to walk a bit!
You're in Music City - embrace it!
Grab some dinner where we went on our first date!
12 South is one of Nashville's newer neighborhoods. If you're looking for trendy shops and restaurants (and perhaps the I Believe in Nashville mural), it's a great place to spend a couple hours wandering. Be sure to stop by Edley's for some incredible barbecue, Proper Bagel for a casual breakfast, or Bartaco for a great dinner (we LOVE their margaritas!).
If you're looking to get out of the city, Radnor Lake is the perfect place to find some quiet. It's perfect if you love the outdoors and it's a pretty easy hike (re: if Diana can do it anyone can).
Welcome to a classic Vanderbilt post-tailgate hangout! If you're looking for an awesome view of the city, Acme's rooftop is the place to be! From brunch to the late night Broadway crowd, Acme does it all.
If you're looking for a romantic place to watch the sun rise or set, Love Circle is a must. It's a great view and one of Diana's favorite hidden spots. Make sure to bring some comfy shoes and a blanket - it's a steep hill and Nashville gets chilly at night in March!
Have a car and want to drink whiskey in the literal middle of nowhere? The Jack Daniel's Distillery is for you! Go on a tour and get your fill of Tennessee's finest.
