It was July 4th weekend of 2015. Diana was on White Bear Lake celebrating her newly acquired work visa while Ricky made a trip from Austin, Texas where he was living at the time. A tradition hard to miss in those days. In passing while walking through the water, Ricky offered up a cheesy line towards Diāna and her best pal, Karly. It must have worked because that is what got them introduced. Over the next few days, Diana and Ricky made sure to get together before he left back to Texas. As the weeks and months went on, they stayed in contact often. Sometimes having 3 hour phone calls. Ricky would make the occasional trip back to Minnesota, and they would always have a plan to connect. Diana also made a couple trips to Texas and that’s precisely when Diana’s friend Karly knew it was getting serious. As time went on, Ricky had been thinking about making the move back to Minnesota after he felt his time in Texas had run its course. In 2017 Diana invited Ricky to move in with her just to kick him out 2 months later as she wanted him to prove his dedication to the relationship. I guess you could say that’s when things became official. After a decade (that’s 10 years, folks) of fun competition, living together and travel, Ricky finally popped the question. And now here we are !
