Flight

O'Hare Airport (ORD)

O'Hare is one of two airports you can fly in to. If you fly into ORD you can take the blue line CTA train right into the city. The train from the airport to any of the stops to the city is a flat $5 and it takes approximately 1 hour to get to the loop. A taxi cab from ORD costs approximately $40 and will take 40min-1 hour depending on traffic. You can call Ubers and Lyfts to the airport, that will be closer to $30.

Flight

Midway Airport (MDW)

Midway is one of two airports you can fly in to and is home to all Southwest Airlines flights into & out of Chicago. If you fly in to Midway the CTA orange line train goes straight into the city. The train from the airport to any stops in to the city is $2.25 and it takes approximately 45 minutes to get to the loop. A taxi cab from Midway costs approximately $40 and will take around 25-40 minutes depending on traffic. You can call Ubers and Lyfts to the airport, that will be closer to $25.

Intercontinental

We've booked a room block at the Intercontinental Chicago with rooms starting at $189/night. Additionally, you can choose which tower you'd like to stay in - the Executive Tower (starting at a $229 rate) is the larger/newer tower, and rooms are on average 200 sq ft larger than the Grand Tower (the $189 rate).

Travel Note

Parking Information for Wedding and Reception

For the Ceremony at St. Clement Church (642 W Deming Place, Chicago IL 60614), parking is available in the church lot at the corner of Deming and Orchard streets, across from the main entrance of the church, AND in the school lot on Orchard Street, across from the west side of the church. Both Deming and Orchard are one way streets, so to access the parking lot across from the church you need to enter Deming from Clark St. Kindly note you will need to move your car following the ceremony to make room for later events in the day. The church lot is towed every evening, so please don't leave your car there! For the reception, there is street parking available at Moonlight Studios (1446 W Kinzie St, Chicago IL 60642) and shouldn't be hard to find close to the venue.

Train

CTA

The 'L' can get you around Chicago, depending where you are going. Trains go to and from both airports and the city and are a nice option (for $5 or less). Check out the travel time and leave some extra time if you are taking the train to the airport. (It takes about 10 minutes to walk from where the train lets you out to the ticketing desks at the airport - all inside at the airport, but still allow for some extra time.) Trains are also a nice way to get to different neighborhoods in the city.

Rental Car

Shared Car Service (Uber, Lyft)

Uber and Lyft are good options to get around in Chicago. Both are (usually) faster than taking the CTA and a bit easier if you aren't familiar with the train.

Parking at the Hotel

While Parking is offered at the Intercontinental Hotel, it's quite pricey. We recommend downloading the 'SpotHero' ap on your phone. This ap allows you to view the rates of all available garages by the hotel and book easily on your phone. For overnight parking, there should be plenty of options under $30.
