Question

Should we bring meals and drinks?

Answer

No, we will provide all food and drinks at Rainbow Lodge from Friday dinner through Sunday brunch. Food and drinks will be served to all wedding guests, regardless of whether you are staying at Rainbow Lodge or offsite. We will plan for meals based on your feedback in the RSVP. Please note that no outside alcoholic beverages are allowed at Rainbow Lodge. But why would you, drinks are on us.

I will not be able to join for the entire weekend. Can I attend just certain events?

Answer

Yes! We would love to have you attend any portion that you are able to. The formal wedding activities will be on Saturday afternoon/evening from 3:30pm onwards.

Are our children welcome?

Answer

Absolutely, we are expecting kids of all ages at the wedding and are planning some child-friendly programming. Rainbow Lodge offers some great room options for families with children. Please note that the lodge is located on mountainous terrain and alongside a river. The supervision and safety of your children remains your responsibility throughout the weekend.

Can I bring my pet?

No pets will be allowed at Rainbow Lodge throughout the weekend.

What temperatures should we expect?

Answer

Rainbow Lodge is located at about 6,000ft (2,000m) and therefore has slightly cooler evening temperatures than other parts of California. We nevertheless expect day-time highs in the high 80s (~30C), dropping into the 60s (20C) in the evening. Consider bringing a scarf or sweater for the evening hours.

What should we plan to wear?

Answer

Aside from the wedding ceremony and reception on Saturday afternoon, we are planning for a casual weekend. Wear whatever you are most comfortable in and take a look at our planned activities before packing your bags to make sure you have the appropriate clothing with you. The terrain around the lodge is rugged, so we recommend sturdy shoes if you are planning to explore. Remember to pack a bathing suit and yoga attire if you plan to join in these activities. The wedding ceremony and reception will be formal / black-tie optional. Please note: The ceremony will be held outdoors and footpaths en route are rocky / grassy, so rethink stilettos. We recommend block-heels, wedges or flats.

Is there transportation available from any offsite accomodations?

Answer

No, we recommend staying on-site at Rainbow Lodge or at one of the nearby vacation rentals (see "Travel" section of our website). Most of the available accommodation options are walking distance.

Is parking / EV charging available at Rainbow Lodge?

Answer

There is ample parking available at Rainbow Lodge for all guests, regardless of whether you are staying at Rainbow Lodge or staying offsite and only coming to the lodge for events and activities. There is no EV charging on-site, but ChargePoint and Tesla Superchargers are available at Lucky's Travel Plaza 4 miles West of the lodge along I-80.
