"Diamond and I first met through the high school organization Top Teens of America. While we knew of each other as members of Top Teens and lived in the same city, we did not become close friends until our time at The University of Houston. At UH, we eventually got to know each other through mutual friends. We started hanging out and attending events together and we’ve been friends ever since. Through our friendship we’ve traveled together, attended concerts and enjoyed sporting events. Diamond has even tried to make me a honorary Lebron fan. Diamond is a great friend and one of the kindest, most caring people that I know. I’m happy to celebrate her as she takes the next step in her journey and look forward to all of the blessings that God has in store."

Over the years we've remained in close contact; whether it was going to concerts together, celebrating special occasions or random lunch & self-care dates. Diamond is truly a gem; she is one of the most thoughtful and caring friends I know. Whether it is a prayer to get through tough times or financial advice, she always has my back, as I do hers. One of my favorite memories with Diamond was celebrating her 32nd birthday back in 2016 at Ruth's Chris Steak House. We had such a good time that night laughing, eating, and celebrating Diamond's day. I am so happy for Diamond & I look forward to celebrating her big day & welcoming her into this next chapter."

"My first time meeting Diamond was at New Light Christian Center Church in Beaumont, TX. I remember her sitting in the same pew every Sunday with her dad, mom, sister & brother! In 2003 we both ended up attending the University of Houston & met again through a mutual friend there (Tiffany). It had been about 6 years since I saw her last, but it was an instant connection because I remembered her from church & considered her a 'hometown homie'. Throughout our time at UH, we developed a bond that has now led to a lifelong friendship. I can always count on her for faithful words of encouragement that light up my day.
