We wanted an intimate micro wedding with our closest family and fell in love with the gorgeous architecture of San Francisco's City Hall. We decided to blend these together into our vision of the perfect wedding get away. We know it involves travel for everyone, and we are eternally grateful that you are making the trip. We hope you can turn it into an adventure or vacation for yourself also!
As we are doing family photos after, we ask that everyone wear black or hunter/dark emerald green for the aesthetics of the photography. The building is beautiful and we want to match the vibe. We recommend dress pants, button down dress shirts, suits, mid to long dresses. This is a daytime event so think daytime wedding chic. Please note that the weather this time of year can be chilly, and a drizzle of rain is definitely possible.
Because of the ceremony space time restrictions, we will need to begin seating promptly at 10 am. Please allow yourself plenty of time to park/get an uber/navigate the building. We need all guests at the mayor's balcony by 9:55-10 am. This will allow the ceremony to start on time and have photos after. We recommend arriving at city hall no later than 945 am.
We are going to jet off for a few photos at Golden Gate Bridge. In lieu of a traditional reception, we have luncheon reservations after with a small gap of time to allow for transit time and our delay getting pictures. Feel free to belly up to the bar and grab a drink before we arrive!
We have opted to have a private dinner for two to celebrate. The lunch and after party are our reception. Use the time after lunch to rest, relax, or explore (it's going to be a long day for everyone.) We will reconvene for the after party at the Starlite lounge in our hotel.
Travel plans will vary, and we are heading to Napa for our Mini-Honeymoon. We love you all and there’s a no pressure breakfast at 9am Wednesday if you can or would like to come. Whether you are staying in the city or traveling home, we thank you so much for joining us and wish you safe travels!
We are leaving it up to you on where you would like to stay. We recommend something close to the venue for ease of travel. The city is likely to be congested due to St. Patrick's day events. If you would like to be near us, we are staying at The Beacon Grand.
Everyone should be in town, and we would love to have a more casual laid-back dinner with you all in San Fran's historic Chinatown. This will give a chance for the families to meet and for us to have more time with you. If you can't make it in time or have other plans for that evening just let us know!
Since everyone will be arriving to City Hall by different means and staying in different locations, it's up to you how you would like to get to the restaurant. We recommend a quick uber trip as it's only a few miles away.
We have hired a professional photographer to capture our special day. Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We will share the gallery with all of you when we receive it. During the luncheon and after, feel free to snap away!
Your presence is all that we are asking. We have more than enough material items, so gifts are not necessary!
Enter though the main entrance, go through security, take the elevators on the left side of the building to the 2nd floor, after exiting the elevator immediately turn left and the location should be visible. The mayor's balcony is immediately opposite the grand staircase on the second floor.
We will not be providing transportation to or from event locations as not everyone will be coming from or going to the same location. We recommend staying close to the venue and using public transportation or ride share services. There is parking, but it may be more hassle than it's worth to drive.
We are flying in a couple days ahead of time to get settled but recommend that guests travelling in arrive at least by Monday afternoon in case of flight delays or other travel hiccups. If you are arriving before Monday, please let us know so we can see you early as well!
