We met at Sunrise Cafe where I was a server and he was the exterminator. He came in working the one day and came up to talk to me as I was stuffing my face with a turkey sandwich. I didn’t think anything of it you know, to busy eating, but my boss mentioned to me that he was flirting. Next thing you know he finds me on Snapchat, and then is asking for my number. He said that “he didn’t want to get into trouble asking for my number in front of my boss and it getting back to his boss.” I said “keep telling yourself that.” I told myself no when it came to him because all the red flags, but one thing led to another. We started seeing each other about once a week, then it went to two times, then it was just all the time. To me it just felt different and what I was looking for. He then moved in with me so that we could spend all our time together. Since then we bought a house, had a daughter together, started our careers, and made a life for ourselves. It’s been amazing, I mean every relationship has bumps in the road, but we wouldn’t change anything, except maybe seeing each other sooner.
One day, he said that him and a friend want to go take pictures of the moon at The Cove in Brigantine and wanted me to come along so that we can get couple photos. I didn’t think anything of it. We arrive at the beach and I hang outside for a little till I got cold and went back in the jeep. Chaz ushers me to come back out to start taking photos. As we are standing there taking the photos, he bends down to tie his shoe. I’m like “come on” not realizing he is pulling a ring out of his bag and proposing to me. I was in absolute shock. The Cove was somewhere he knew I loved and we spent most of our summers at in the jeep. Of course I said yes or why else would you be on our wedding page.
