Chelsea Market, located in the heart of New York City's Meatpacking District and adjacent to The High Line, is a food and retail marketplace. The High Line is 1.45-mile-long elevated linear park and greenway created on a former NY Central Railroad spur on the West side of Manhattan. If the weather works, we recommend walking The High Line (there are entrances throughout Chelsea) and seeing the city from a different vantage point! Bonus: The High Line extends from Hudson Yards to Chelsea so you can cover both in one day if you're up for the walking.
Hudson Yards is New York’s newest neighborhood and home to more than 100 diverse shops and culinary experiences. The extraordinary centerpiece of Hudson Yards is its spiral staircase, a soaring new landmark meant to be climbed. This interactive artwork was imagined by Thomas Heatherwick and Heatherwick Studio as a focal point where people can enjoy new perspectives of the city and one another from different heights, angles and vantage points. Comprised of 154 intricately interconnecting flights of stairs -- almost 2,500 individual steps and 80 landings -- the vertical climb offers remarkable views of the city, the river and beyond. Tickets are available online.
