Below are answers to some common questions to help you prepare for our wedding weekend!
Question

Where are the reception and ceremony taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at The LakeHouse at the Owl's Nest Resort, located at 24 Lakeside Drive, Thornton, NH 03285.

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes! Parking is available for any of ours guests traveling in.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors. The cocktail hour and reception will be indoors.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00pm. Please plan to arrive between 4:30pm-4:45pm! We will begin seating guests at 4:50pm.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. Cocktail attire includes cocktail dresses, such as tea-length or midi-length dresses for the ladies, and a suit and tie or a sports coat for the gentlemen.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We are only able to accommodate those guests listed on your invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids allowed?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adult-only event. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony (no phones or cameras at all, please!). We've hired a professional photo and video team to capture every special moment, and we want everyone to be fully present during our ceremony. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like!

Will there be an open bar at the wedding?

Answer

There will be a pre-ceremony cash bar (on you) for beer and wine. After the ceremony, all drinks are on us. Get ready to celebrate!

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by June 20, 2025. Your prompt response will help us finalize our guest list and make sure everything is perfect for our special day!

Will there be transportation?

Answer

For those staying on-site, there is a shuttle that provides transportation around the Owl’s Nest. The resort is very walkable too; for those staying on-site, you will be within a short walking distance from our venue. For those staying off-site, transportation will not be provided to and from nearby hotels or Airbnbs. We've included information on local Taxi & Uber services below: Taxi: Loop Taxi @ 603-254-1155. Uber: 603-848-6755. Call or text, but text is preferred.
