Our Story
We were both born in Puerto Rico but met years later in Jacksonville. Josue moved away when he was 13, and I left in 2021. Our story began on a dating app—what first caught my attention was his funny username, chimichanga, which made me both laugh and wonder why anyone would choose a food name! For Josue, curiosity struck because he had never dated someone from Puerto Rico before, so he decided to send me a message.
Fast forward four and a half years, and here we are—returning to our roots to get married where we were both born. Our very first date was at the beach, and from that day on, the ocean has been a special part of our story. It’s where we feel most connected and at peace. That’s why we couldn’t imagine saying “I do” anywhere else but by the ocean—where everything truly began.
