El Morro is a must see landmark in Puerto Rico located in Old San Juan. Make a day of exploring Old San Juan by stoping at local bars and restaurants there, take a walk through Paseo de la Princesa, and finish up top el Morro where you can enjoy a refreshing "piragua" (Snow Cones) and if you are in touch with your inner child, fly kites in El Morro's open fields. If you are a big history buff, feel free to book a tour of El Morro so you can see the fort in all its close up glory.
If you are looking for accessible, family friendly, and tourist friendly beaches along with some of the best traditional Puerto Rican street food, Piñones is where you need to go. There are dozens of kiosks offering everything from alcapurias, empanadas, and fresh seafood salads, to everyone's favorite drinks like piña coladas and fresh coconut water.
If you are feeling extra adventurous and have the time, drive on over to Fajardo (about 1hr from San Juan), and hop onto a ferry to Culebra. Culebra is one of the islands of Puerto Rico, yes we have some small islands in our archipelago. Once there, explore world famous Playa Flamenco which is regularly ranked as one of the best beaches in the world with its white sands and crystal blue water that are great for snorkeling and exploring the coral reefs.
