What should I wear for the Traditional African Wedding?

Answer

We welcome you to wear the Ankara which is available for purchase. If not Dress Code is black tie.

Can I bring my child to the reception?

Answer

We love all your children, however we have decided to make this an adults only celebration we hope you understand. We have several recommendations for excellent child care services in Wichita that we frequently use. If you would like a copy of our recommendations please let us know.

I heard there is a dress code for the reception also?

Answer

The theme for our reception is 'Breakfast in Bed.' We invite all of our guests to wear pajamas to our reception. The wedding party and all vendors will be in pajamas as well.

So am I also invited to the reception?

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our reception is strictly RSVP only.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Ou la la. In order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to email us with any questions.

Will the ceremonies and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All events will take place indoors.

What time should we be there?

Answer

The ceremony on September 27th will begin at 1:00pm. The ceremony on September 28th will begin at 12:00pm. We kindly ask guests to arrive 15min prior to mingle and grab the best seat.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony on September 28th. We invite you to mingle with the bride and groom while enjoying light refreshments at St James Missionary Baptist Church. Afterwards, the bridal party will be taking pictures near by for around an hour. The reception will take place at 5:00pm; you can use this time to relax and change into your pajamas.

When are the RSVP's due?

Answer

We'd love to know if you can make it (we hope you can). Please RSVP by July 28th using the RSVP card that came in the mail or via our RSVP section here.

Are there other wedding events I'm invited to?

Everyone is welcome to our day after church service on Sunday, September 29th. The service will be held at Victory House RCCG at 10:00am.

What should I do if I can't make it?

You'll be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP 'No' so we can plan accordingly.
