Sam and Brandon met in August 2021 while Sam was in her senior year of college and Brandon was working in EMS. They met online and quickly bonded over their shared taste in music. Little did they know, they would go on to attend many shows together and introduce each other to new artists they thought the other would enjoy. “Skeleton Key” by Origami Angel soon became their go-to song, and they even got to see it performed live in June 2025. The song is about having an overwhelming love for someone who is unique and special to you. Brandon later proposed on October 10, 2025, with Sam’s dream engagement ring, which featured a special engraving of “Skeleton Key” inside the band.
