Question

When should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

Because of the location, the parking, and the walk to the ceremony site, please arrive at Rugged Horizon by 3:30pm so we can be sure to start the Ceremony at 4pm and get the party started on time! If you're early, there will be lawn games and a gorgeous view of the Mission Mountains.

What should I wear?

Answer

Anything from semi-formal to garden party attire. Bolo ties are welcome and encouraged! Please keep in mind that the walk to the ceremony site is a gravel path, and the ceremony will be held in a grass field.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Montana in August could be hot, or it could be rainy and chilly. Matt always says Montana has desert weather - it can be warm and dry during the day, then cold at night. Please be prepared with proper outdoor attire against the elements!

What is the photo policy?

Answer

Please no photography during the ceremony. It is important to us to see your face during that special moment. Photography is welcome the rest of the evening, but please refrain from taking photos when our photographer is shooting. It is distracting and will make the process take longer.

Are children welcome at the reception?

Answer

Yes! We have accounted for your little ones in your invitation for the full event. We would love to have them there to celebrate with us! Please note that we will not have anyone designated to supervise the children.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! The parking lot is gravel, so that may be tricky, but the reception area is paved. Please let us know if you will need assistance getting to/from the field where the ceremony will be help, as it is a short walk down a gravel path. We have a golf cart and driver available to provide transportation to/from the ceremony for those who may have difficulty walking the gravel path.

What precautions are in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19?

Answer

It's important for all of our guests to determine what is best for their safety and the safety of those around them. We have gone through the difficult process of reducing our guest list, though we still anticipate over 100 people to be present. The ceremony will be socially distanced and outside (weather permitting). The reception will be socially distanced and both inside and outside the barn with doors open on all 4 sides. Masks are encouraged and will be provided, though you are welcome to bring masks from home. If you have recently tested positive or are experiencing symptoms within 10 days prior to our big day, please do not attend.

Can I bring my pet?

While we love fur family members, our venue does not allow animals.

Will there be transportation available?

Answer

Yes! There will be a bus scheduled for transportation. Please sign up in advance.
