WHAT IF I WANT TO STAY AT A DIFFERENT RESORT OR HAVE A TIMESHARE ELSEWHERE?

Answer

We understand that this voyage is also a vacation for you, our guests, and we respect that everyone has their own preferences. However, wedding guests staying off of the resort property will risk not having the same conveniences and experiences as everyone else. We have planned several events to appreciate each family joining us. Having you around for wedding activities throughout the week will really make this experience special for all. Wedding Day Passes will be available to the guests that cannot stay on property however, they are in limited supply and the cost of each day pass will be shared to the guests that need them.

We encourage guests to check out the Booking Site built exclusively for our wedding group which provides the ability to learn more about the resort and destination. Most importantly, the custom event page also allows our guests to book their travel online at their convenience.

WHEN SHOULD I REQUEST MY PASSPORT?

Answer

If you do not already have a passport book for travel outside of the United States, please use this link to download the instruction form and application to get your passport. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html Processing a new passport is taking many months. Our suggestion is to look into completing this task as soon as possible.

WHAT IF I'M BRINGING KIDS?

Answer

They have great activities and areas tailored just for kids and teens. The Generations Riviera Maya is the family-friendly portion of the resort so you MUST stay in those rooms if you're bringing along anyone under 17 years of age. The kids will be allowed in all event venue sites.

WHAT IF I DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL OR HAVE DIETARY NEEDS?

Answer

It's okay! There will be plenty of non-alcoholic beverages available, including Chai! The three resorts feature a wide variety of cuisines including Indian, Mexican, Thai, and more to satisfy all your dietary needs and desires. In addition, all event menus will feature vegetarian and non-vegetarian food options. If guests have dietary restrictions, we kindly ask that they let us know as soon as possible. These important details will help when it comes to wedding planning and any other event planning with the resort. Guests should make a note of their restrictions when they check into the resort.

IS THE RESORT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?

Answer

The resort is not required to adhere to the same disability guidelines as venues in the United States. For this reason, you may find their accessibility standards to differ from what you are accustomed to. However, the resort we have chosen is very mindful of guest with disabilities and mobility issues and will go above and beyond to ensure that the needs of each guest are reasonably met. It is our suggestion that any guests with mobility issues stay at either the El Dorado Royale or Generations Resorts. If you have any concerns regarding mobility, especially as it pertains to attending a beach ceremony in the sand, please contact the bride and groom so we can make any necessary arrangements in advance.
