Dexton and I met at Tuskegee University in animal science class. I asked him for a pen to borrow because I was clearly unprepared, unfortunately he only had one. After that day we started studying together and that was the start of our friendship. After 3 years of being friends Dexton decided he didn't want to just be in the friend zone but try something more. Even though all of my friends were hoping for this day I was hesitant, he was so close to being in the "bro zone" lol . I didn't want a good friendship to end but I agreed to try. For the next 6 months we dated and took time to get to know each other and on December 3, 2013 we made it official. For the last 8 years Dexton and I have been rocking it out. On July 9, 2022 Dexton took me to Atlanta, GA for a romantic dinner date. To my surprise we went on a helicopter ride first. Returning from the flight and extra hungry we took some photos together. I turned around to hold his hand and there he was on one knee with a ring and asked " Lowrysha Cheatham, will you marry me?" I was stunned and excited at the same time, I've waited sooooooo long for this day but without hesitation I said "Yes!" ( we ate dinner after). We have been on such a journey. From living together to helping each other get jobs, starting a business and having our sons Dj in 2019 and Lucas in 2023, our lives have been forever changed. Through the good and bad, being broke to being prosperous, sickness and health, he and I have always and Will always have each other. I'm his Bonnie and he is my Clyde. With God and families by our side it's nothing we can't overcome together. . Thank you to the Cochran family for accepting me and thank you to my family for accepting him. We would not be this far without you. We are so happy and excited for this day to come and spend the rest of our lives together. Keep us in your prayers Sincerely, future Mr. & Mrs. Cochran
