Lauren and Lauren met when they were 9 years old, in their Sunday School class. Lauren W.'s favorite color is blue, and her favorite food is a tie between chocolate and Thai food. "My favorite memory with Lauren is when we were visiting my family ranch and decided to explore a cave on the property one night. Little did we know, my sisters had hidden a (stuffed) badger in the cave. Turns out coming across a badger staring at you in a dark cave is terrifying when you don't expect it or know it's a fake! I'm sure the screams could be heard echoing from the cave for miles!"

Ian and Sam met at a Diamondbacks game when they were both in college. Ian's favorite color is green. Ian's favorite food is filet mignon. Ian's favorite memory with Sam was all their spontaneous adventures when they were roommates. For example they had a spur of the moment idea and made a trip to goodwill to buy the ugliest pictures for wall decorations (most of which still hang on Sam's apartment walls... for now.) As well as a lil' tykes basketball hoop that they played far too many games of HORSE.

Emily met Lauren at 5 years old, in their Pre-K class. Emily's favorite color is green. Her favorite food is Teddy Grahams. "There are so many fun memories I have with Lauren through the years, and it's difficult to pick one. But our spontaneous trip to Chicago is one of my favorites. I love that at first glance, Lauren is quiet and reserved, but when you know her well, you know she is full of the best kind of sass and adventure! She was the ring leader in finding cheap airfare to Chicago, where we decided to go on a whim one February. Stories of navigating our way through the downtown transportation brings us many laughs no matter how many times we retell it. Love you, Lauren!! I'm so excited for you and all the new adventures ahead. You'll be such a fun travel partner for Sam."

Kyle met Sam in their freshman year of college at Arizona State University, through a mutual friend in CRU who thought they would get along because they were both engineering students. Kyle's favorite color is blue. His favorite food is Los Favoritos' bacon breakfast burrito. Kyle's favorite memory with Sam was when they were groomsmen at Jonathon Hall's wedding, when they thought they would be cool and chest bump during their grand entrance. Needless to say one of them was bound for the floor. Kyle was that person, while Sam walked off not knowing how badly they screwed that up.
Stephanie Croy

Stephanie met Lauren at a few hours old, and was the first person to make her a sister. Stephanie's favorite color is soft yellow. Her favorite food is Ramen noodles. Stephanie says, "It's difficult to pick out my favorite memory with my sister, since we have spent so many days together. I have highlighted memories like when our tent was flooded camping on the coast, being stuck on a freeway for hours in traffic, wearing matching Christmas PJs every year, and playing American Idol together. However, my fondest memories with Lauren are when I think of the hundreds of times she comforted me and let me know everything was going to be okay. Lauren was, and still is, the most comforting person. She has the most patient, listening ear, and I always know she's there to talk, cry, and laugh with."

Jon and Sam met when they were both 18 through CRU at Arizona State University. Jon's favorite color is green. His favorite food is pizza. Jon has too many favorite memories with Sam to choose just one. Jon's wedding, the trip to see Jon and Karen in Pensacola, their trip to Disneyland, a random camping trip to Gila Bend in a sketchy RV, and all the countless nights staying up late playing new board games and talking life. But Jon's favorite has to be the festival at Rawhide, as it was a fun time together before they graduated and he shipped off to Pensacola.

Macie met Lauren at just a few hours old. Her favorite color is grey, and her favorite food is potatoes (cooked literally any way!). Macie's favorite memory with Lauren is when they were babysitting their baby cousin once. Lauren was about 22, and Macie was 14 at the time. Lauren left the room for just a few minutes and came back to not only the baby crying - but Macie also! Turns out the baby crying made Macie think she was doing something wrong. Lauren helped Macie calm the baby down, and realize that it was all okay!

Josh (Bo) and Sam met when Josh was 19 and Sam was 20, when Sam moved in with Nicolas, Josh's brother. Josh's favorite color is black (Go Raiders). His favorite food is DILL pickles (Sweet pickles are a result of the fall of man). Josh's favorite memory with Sam was their aspiring grilled cheese business. They would run shop, buy sourdough bread, and craft together different cheeses and meats and name their product after their friends. The SamBo was the original, and also Josh's favorite. Too bad they never had a paying customer...

Molly met Lauren at the age of 4, on their very first day of school ever. Molly's favorite color is green, and her favorite food is sweet potato fries. Molly's favorite memory with Lauren is a camping trip Lauren went on with Molly's family. The two girls were on a blow-up inflatable on the lake. Between soaking up the sun and talking away, they weren't paying attention to just how far from shore they were floating! When they realized, they had a long way to go to get back to beach. Unfortunately, when they hopped off to just swim back, their legs were continuously tangled up in some nasty seaweed! The adventure brought a whole lot of laughs, and they slowly made their way back through the weeds and water.

Marty and Sam met when Marty was 0 years old and they happened to run into each other at the hospital. Marty's favorite color is "Blue, i guess?". Marty's favorite food is burritos. Marty's favorite memory with Sam is when he was a senior high school and Sam was in college. Sam invited Marty to his apartment for the weekend and they spent the day longboarding around campus, where Sam showed Marty where all his classes would be. And at the end of the night Marty, Sam, and his friends all hung out and played board games together.

Abigail met Lauren at 18 years old, when they were roommates their freshman year of college. Abigail's favorite color is sea-foam. Her favorite food is pepperoni pizza. "One of my favorite memories with Lauren is eating terrible Mexican food in Albany, followed by a dance party in our tiny apartment. We then ended the night with dropping our only source of music for said dance party (another roommate's iPod Touch) in the toilet - and made a mad rush to find rice to save it! The night was full of "bad" things but we laughed through all of it and still talk about it today!"

Nic and Sam met when Nic was 20 and was one of Sam's discipleship leaders in CRU. Nic's favorite colors are silver and black (Raiders). His favorite food is carne asada. Nic's favorite memory with Sam is their mission trip to China. The most notable memories came from one night where they got stranded at a restaurant a few miles from home. In desperation, they had to resort to using the bathroom in an open field. In search of a taxi, they walked into a stranger’s house, but due to a small language barrier, one of them ended up getting punched in the back. The only natural response was to make a run for it. But they lived to tell the tale.

One of Kayla's favorite memories with Lauren is traveling Europe for a month while starving, encountering wolves, surviving a fiery furnace hostel, and making countless other memories.

I remember meeting him mid air during one of our jumps. Being the klutz I am, I had forgot to put on my parachute before jumping, so Sam gave me his! I knew that only a great guy would help a stranger out like that, and the rest is history!"

Jillian is wife to the Best Man, Ian, and our "Day of Coordinator Extraordinaire." Her favorite color is pink, and her favorite food is cheese pizza with buffalo sauce and ranch. Jillian's favorite memory with Lauren and Sam is skiing this past February. The two couples accidentally ended up at the very top of the mountain - the only way down being black diamond runs. As a beginner skier, Jillian was super scared to tackle a black diamond, but Lauren knew she could get down. With Lauren's help, they took their time and made it down without any falls or major mishaps!
