How We Met

January 2015

Devynn and Brady met their freshman year of college. They quickly became really great friends, but despite Brady's "efforts" to get himself out of the friend zone, their relationship stayed there for a little while longer. By middle of their sophomore year, Brady had officially dug himself out of the depths of the friend zone and they decided to give a romantic relationship a try; thank goodness they did! They spent the next two and a half years loving, learning, and growing with each other through the rest of college before making the big move to Georgia together! A lot has happened for them throughout their years in GA - they became dog parents to two crazy boys, have made it through multiple moves without killing each other, job changes, grad school, survived a global pandemic quarantined together, and have learned so much more about each other and life. Through everything, they both continued to be each other's rock and couldn't be more thankful for each other!

The Proposal

May 30, 2020

After just over 4 years of being together, Brady got down on one knee and asked Dev to spend forever with him! They were going to take the dogs on a walk through a gorgeous nature reserve near their home. Only issue was Devynn is not a huge fan of walking and it was already 85 degrees at 10 AM (for us Georgians, this means it would only get hotter & more humid). Despite all of the complaining, they left on their walk and about 10 minutes in, Brady said to walk ahead without him. When Devynn turned around, he had laid out a blanket with rose petals and champagne. It's hard to remember exactly what was said, but they do know that he asked and she said yes! BEST WALK EVER. Brady and Devynn are so excited for this next chapter of their lives together and can't wait to celebrate their big day with all of their loved ones!!!
