Rental Car
We highly recommend sticking to well-established car rental companies, this is one we have used ourselves without issue. They have their office at the airport so no shuttle hassle.

This is THE airport! :) There are smaller airports around the Island but flying in to San Juan will be the cheapest, easiest, and also closest to the festivities.
Travel Note
Puerto Rico is a United States Territory, as such, you can fly in and out of the Island with a valid government ID as you would to any other state! :)
Travel Note
Don't worry about currency, we use US dollars $$$$$ ;)
Travel Note
This is Mariel :) While Spanish and English are both official languages, in practice, most Puerto Ricans are not fluent in English. Don't be scared! Most (if not all) tourist attractions and tours will have folks who will speak English! Please be kind and understand this is still their second language. Though you may encounter many people who speak some English, please know that their fluency level may vary! Always remember you have Google Translate in your pocket! :)
