We met on a missions trip to Orlando, Florida, through Campus Ministry @GVSU! We hung out as friends in the summer following our trip and began officially dating in January 2021.

Michael told me we were going on a double date to Rosy Mound in Grand Haven, MI. On our drive to the park, his friend called and "cancelled" the double date. We were already halfway there so we decided to go by ourselves. When we got there we began walking the trails to the beach and Michael popped the question in a planned spot where our photographer was hiding behind a tree!
