Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal! Anything that you would feel comfortable in while you hit the dance floor! Our venue is an old dairy barn that has been converted into something more modern and elegant. The barn is heated but not cooled, so we recommend to wear something that correlates to the weather on the day of the event!

Are children allowed?

Answer

Yes! There will be an open-bar and a fire pit at the venue, so we just ask that they are closely supervised by an adult to make sure everyone is safe and a stress free environment is maintained.

Are we allowed to have our phones during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes you are allowed to have your phones on you, but we have decided on having a unplugged ceremony! So please no photos or videos during the time of the ceremony. Also if you decide to keep your phone on you during the ceremony we ask that it is kept on silent and you refrain from using any social media during this time. Don't worry, there will be lots of pictures taken by our amazing photographer and we promise to share our favorite moments with you all!

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

We know that you're dying to know this, and the answer to this is... HECK YEAH! There will be an open bar with a few options to choose from while supplies last. Just note that the alcohol can only come from what has been provided for guests through our vendor for everyones safety, so please refrain from bringing your own. No outside alcohol is allowed in the barn, parking lot or dressing rooms. Blue Heron Barn reserves the right to confiscate and dispose of any outside alcohol found on the premises. Remember to drink responsibly in order that everyone has a good time, gets home safely and we leave the venue undamaged! We'll bring the wine and beer, you bring the party!

Is smoking/vaping allowed on the premises?

Answer

Blue Heron Barn is a non-smoking facility. Smoking and vaping are permitted in the designated smoking area only. Marijuana is not allowed.

What if I had a little bit too much to drink?

Answer

If you feel in any way that you are unable to legally drive home, Blue Heron Barn allows overnight parking to those who feel it is best not to drive. Vehicles must be picked up the next morning by 10 a.m. Any vehicle left after 10 a.m. is subject to being towed at the owner's expense.

Will the ceremony be inside or outside?

Answer

We are planning on having an outside ceremony to enjoy the sunny weather July brings! If anything were to happen, heavy rain for example, we will then move the ceremony inside where the reception will take place! July can be known for its very hot weather, but our venue offers lots of open walls and windows to allow fresh air in throughout the night!

Will food be provided?

Answer

Food will be provided! We are having an on-site Left Coast open pit. This is a unique style of barbecue that offers premium boneless dry rubbed meats that are cooked on-site over a hardwood fire pit paired with sides that are 100% handcrafted from scratch!

What does the parking/Handicap Accessibility look like?

Answer

The barn and grounds are handicap accessible, including the restrooms. There is also a barrier free parking area with a staff driven golf cart to assist elderly or disabled guests. Free parking is on-site and there will be parking attendants out to help with parking at the beginning of the wedding.

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but if you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table set out for your convenience!

When to RSVP?

Answer

We ask that you RSVP by June 28th! In order to do this, you will need to scan the QR code that is on the back of your invitation with your camera on your phone, and once you do that, a website will pop up and you will need to click that link. It should then bring you to our RSVP page where you will need to type your name to confirm that you will be present at the wedding!
