Yes! After falling in love with The Venue at Lilly Pond we knew even in the summer heat the beautiful outdoor scenery around the pond was exactly what we wanted. Don't worry we will keep the ceremony short and sweet and you are welcome to bring a small personal fan. The surrounding trees also provide a good amount of shade which will help block some sun.
We will NOT be serving a full dinner. What we will have is snacks, finger foods, and desserts as well as an open bar and other drinks. We recommend eating dinner prior to coming to the event.
The ceremony will start at 6 p.m. we recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early in order to give yourself time to park, walk down to the ceremony site, and get situated. The walkway down to the ceremony seating is the same walkway the wedding party will use to enter and there is no alternative sidewalk so please arrive and be seated prior to 6 o'clock.
Yes there is! There is ample parking at the Venue at Lilly Pond in their gravel parking lot adjacent to the reception building. As well as if need be the option to leave your car overnight in the case you need a designated driver to take you home.
Kids are most definitely welcome. There is a playground onsite that will be open during the reception while the sun is still up. We want everyone to be able to celebrate our day with us but also understand if you have to cut the party short to get your kids home in time for bed.
