FAQs and Things to Know

Question

What about COVID-19?

Answer

For the safety of our guests, we require that all guests are vaccinated prior to attending. Our ceremony is planned to be outdoors, but dining and dancing is indoors and we will move the entire ceremony indoors in the event of rain. Facemasks are optional. Children too young to be vaccinated are welcome. Spread love not the virus.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive between 3:30 and 4. Our ceremony will be at 4:15

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Please feel free to bring little ones. Just indicate on your RSVP please.

Question

What are food choices?

Answer

We aren't doing traditional food choices because it will be a serve yourself situation instead of plated meals. We're doing BBQ and a variety of mac and cheese dishes, and are willing to make accommodations (within reason) if that's really not your thing.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely, in fact please do. Both the bride, the groom, and several members of the wedding party have food allergies, so we understand how difficult it is to find food at weddings and want to be as accommodating as possible.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail/business casual. To me (the bride) this means anything from nice shirt and slacks to full suit for the men, and for ladies, anything from a dressy top and pants to a cocktail dress. The ceremony will be outdoors, so stilettos are not recommended.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Only if your invitation envelope mentions "and guest". The space at our venue is limited to 100 people for the indoor space, and while we would love to have everyone who would want to come, we need to adhere to building fire code. If in doubt, please ask, don't assume.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes. An area will be reserved for parking.

Question

Will there be alcohol served?

Answer

Not a lot. There will be some themed cocktails, but there will not be a bar at our event. Limited amounts of wine and beer with dinner.

Question

Is smoking permitted?

Answer

Cigarette smoking and vaping is permitted in the parking lot away from other guests. Marijuana smoking is NOT permitted on site.

Question

Is there anything else I should know?

Answer

There is an area near the ceremony area where there are a few beehives, since the site includes a small orchard. Our ceremony is in the evening and we are not hosting activities in that particular area, so we do not anticipate this to be a problem. However, if you are severely allergic, please bring an EpiPen just in case.
