Three short weeks before our wedding, California instated another stay-at-home mandate, which required us to change our plans. The good news: WE STILL GOT MARRIED!!! All things considered, we decided the safest approach was to exchange vows in the church just as bride and groom on 12/31/20. It was such an intimate and heartfelt experience and we received more calls, gestures, and surprises from loved ones than we could have ever dreamt of. THANK YOU! We felt surrounded by so much love and support. We will save the dress, the walk down the aisle, and the small immediate family gathering until July of 2021. If this whole process has taught us anything, it's that together we can roll with whatever life brings us... maybe with a few tears, but mostly with overwhelming love and laughter. ♡
We fell in love during our weekend getaways from SF to Tahoe. Between the road trips, mid mountain cocktails, ski days starting at noon, pitstops at the Pons, and countless more memories; Tahoe has always been a special place for us. We were so excited to cement this beautiful spot into our story forever and to share it with our immediate family in 2021!
In light of the ongoing pandemic, we are sticking with the tough decision to forgo any sort of large party/reception with our extended family and friends. While we want more than anything to celebrate with everyone we hold dear, we need to consider everyone's safety first and foremost. Although, with an anniversary on New Years Eve... seems like the perfect occasion for a big anniversary party some time down the line perhaps?!?
