Matron of Honor
Hillary is my older sister by three years, and growing up, I was her tagalong. I followed her everywhere and begged to hang out with her and her friends. As we got older, she showed me how to pursue my own dreams and I eventually made my own friends. We each found our own paths me in CT, her in Maine but she has remained my best friend. She married her college crush and now has three beautiful children who call me Auntie. Through every chapter of life, our bond has only grown stronger. She’s my rock, my confidante, and I couldn’t imagine this day without her.
Bridesmaid
Diana and I met in middle school. A casual acquaintance grew into a friendship built on moments big and small that shaped us over the years. Once we got to high school, our bond was cemented by our mutual struggle in math class. We were juniors in a class of freshman not knowing what the heck was going on, but somehow laughed (and cheated) our way through it. Our bond doesn’t need explaining, we can go from giggles to meaningful conversations in the blink of an eye. We’ve shared so many moments over the years, and I am thankful she is here for my big moment.
Bridesmaid
Kim and I met in middle school, and what started as friendly chats quickly grew into a lifelong friendship. She’s been a source of endless laughs and energy, but underneath that fun-loving side is a fierce friend who never wavers. Being fellow Tauruses me in April, her in May means we just get each other in ways no one else does. It only takes a glance, and we’re on the same page, usually sharing that quiet satisfaction when one of us was right about the shady person. Our bond has carried us through countless chapters of life and I’m grateful she’s here for this one.
Best Man
Dave and I met on a basketball court when I was 12. He asked me to play one-on-one, and that simple invite turned into a lifelong friendship. From playing on the same youth football team to showing up for life’s biggest moments, we’ve been side by side ever since. I’m honored to have my longtime teammate standing next to me as my best man.
Brother of Honor
Justin is my younger brother, and even though we’re a year apart, most days it feels like we’re one and the same. From doing everything together as kids, to becoming roommates in college. We’ve been through the good times, the tough times, and everything in between. He’s always in my corner, and I can’t imagine this day without him.
Ring Bearer
My brother Darrell wears many hats, you'd call him a jack of all trades. He’s a proud father to my niece and nephew, a provider for his family, and he’s been my one and only barber. No matter how busy life gets, he always finds time for me, whether it’s giving me a fresh cut, offering advice, or simply being there to listen. With all the ways he shows up and handles everything with love, it feels only right to trust him with something so meaningful as carrying our rings.
Officiant
My oldest brother Jowanza has been my mentor my entire life. Even though he’s my brother, he’s always been a father figure to me, someone who looked after us, guided us, and offered wisdom we still turn to today. When he moved to Utah to pursue his career, he found not only success but also his wife, and together they’re raising their two beautiful daughters. His deep faith, leadership, and unwavering support mean the world to us, and we couldn’t imagine anyone more fitting to make our wedding official. It’s an honor to have him stand with us as our officiant.
Groomsman
Johnnie has been a true friend to me since our Westconn days. From playing football to hitting the golf course every weekend we can. He’s been someone I can count on for good times, honest advice, and laughs. He’s become more than just a friend, he’s family, a steady presence in my life, and someone I’m lucky to call one of my closest friends.
Groomsman
Devin has been my friend since high school, we grew up together, played football together in high school and college, and shared countless memories along the way. Now, it’s amazing to see him with his family, coaching and cheering on his sons at baseball/basketball games. He’s the glue of our friend group, always checking on everyone, keeping us connected, and making sure we never miss a chance to hang out. I’m grateful to have him in my life.
