Harley and Devon originally met in high school in 2008. They rapidly developed an "old soul" friendship and were instantly bonded. Through their time in high school they remained close friends and although there was mutual interest, the universe deemed it was not time for them to pursue anything further. After Harley graduated, he joined the army while Devon did some soul searching and they fell out of touch. A year passed and Harley found himself living in Germany and Devon found herself in Hawaii. During this time, they reconnected over the internet and their friendship picked up right where they left off. They often found themselves video chatting, sharing their adventures, staying up way too late talking nonsense, and laughing way too much. However, once again the universe deemed it to not be their time. Life once again took them in their own directions, and they drifted apart. They did not speak to each other for several years. Fast forward to Memorial Day 2019, they ended up crossing paths again at a mutual friend’s BBQ. The moment they saw each other, after the first bout of shyness subsided, they connected as if not a single moment had passed, but this time, it was a little different. Unbeknownst to them, the universe had deemed it time for them to connect on a deeper level. This was the time that their lives would not cross, but instead, would begin to run parallel, hand in hand, soul in soul. They became each other’s best friend, trusted advisor, and this time they realized, partners. After dating each other for a little more than a year, on August 22nd, 2020, Harley asked Devon to be his Wife. Let it be known - she did not properly answer but instead stuck her hand out barely able to see the ring behind blurry eyes, clouded by tears of joy and sheer excitement. Harley had to confirm that she accepted. This is where the rest of their life begins; a boundless adventure full of laughing, love, while building their idea of a perfect life together.
