So you want to know the story of EvDev, eh? I'll tell it to ya from Devon's perspective. It was December 2015, our senior year of college at Ball State. Evan and I both happened to be hanging out with our friends at a packed bar off campus. A couple of my friends and I were moving through the crowd of people and ran into three guys. One of them being Evan's best man, Kyle, Evan's friend, Brock, and of course Evan. All three of them were wearing matching gingerbread men t-shirts from Wal-Mart (remember this was December so they were feelin the holiday spirit). Evan's friends were making conversation with us, but I noticed Evan was fairly quiet. So I tried to see if I could get him to talk a bit, plus I thought he was cute so I had to say something (shoot your shot ladies). Ev and I hit it off immediately. Remember that gingerbread shirt I mentioned? Evan ended up randomly naming each gingerbread man on his shirt (this is important to note for later). Evan and I, along with our friends hung out the rest of the night and had a blast. I ended up giving everyone a ride home at the end of the night and before Evan got out of my car he said, "if I can name all the gingerbread men on my shirt correctly you'll have to give me your number.” He gave it a try and came up with completely different names than what he initially told me, but I didn't care and of course I gave him my number. Fast forward 3 months to spring break in Daytona Beach, FL. My friends and I end up in a hotel only two hotels down from where Evan and his friends end up staying. On one of the last days in Florida, Evan and I went on a long walk along the beach. We strolled down a long boardwalk and when we got to the end we stood there and looked at the ocean together. While we stood there Evan hugged me from behind and asked me to be his girlfriend...and the rest is history!
