Can I bring my children to the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that children not in the immediate family or wedding party stay home for the day. While we love your little ones, we’ve decided to keep our celebration an adult-focused event. This was a personal decision made to allow all of our guests (including parents!) to relax, unwind, and enjoy the evening :)

Is anything happening the night before the wedding?

Answer

Yes! On Thursday, October 16, we’ve reserved space at the Black Goose Inn for a casual get-together starting at 6:00 PM. If you’re staying at the resort or will be in town early, we’d love for you to stop by and hang out with us! Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and there’s no formal agenda—just a chance to relax and connect before the big day.

Is there a hotel block for guests?

Answer

There is no formal hotel block, but we’ve arranged a discounted rate at Tigh-Na-Mara Resort for our wedding guests! To receive the wedding discount, call Tigh-Na-Mara directly at 1-800-663-7373 and book under the “Gomes and Anderson Wedding.” If you’re a Vancouver Island resident, you can also ask about their local resident discount when booking by phone. Please note: only one discount can be applied per booking. We recommend reserving early, as availability may be limited.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be hosting an open bar for the reception from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM for all of our guests to enjoy. After 9:00 PM, the bar will switch to cash/credit card service.
