We're Getting married!

We first met at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in youth group—Devon was 16, and Dara was 13. Even then, something about each other stood out. Dara quickly developed a quiet crush and always found herself drawn to where Devon was, whether it was a youth trip, a church gathering, or anywhere in between. A year later, we started dating. It was a short and sweet chapter, but little did we know, it was just the beginning of a much bigger story. As the years passed, life took us in different directions, but our paths kept crossing—again and again. Sometimes as friends, sometimes with feelings lingering just beneath the surface. No matter the distance or time, we always seemed to find our way back to each other. It took nearly a decade for us to realize what had been true all along—that we were each other’s person. The kind of love that grows quietly, steadily, and never really fades. On May 16th, 2025, Devon asked Dara to marry him—and without hesitation, she said yes. Now, we’re stepping into forever, side by side. And we couldn’t be more grateful to have you with us as we begin this new chapter of our love story.
