Sharp Top Mountain Trailhead
This is an awesome 3.0 mile round trip hike. Be prepared to head straight up, but trust us, the views at the top are amazing and will leave you breathless. Literally and figuratively. Be sure to take your camera and visit both view points.
Blue Ridge Parkway
There are miles and miles of peaceful serene driving with a variety of scenic overlooks, trailheads, and a few waterfalls. Enjoy some of our gorgeous Virginia views and take lots of pictures!
Natural Bridge State Park
If you have time to travel North a little ways, stop and see Natural Bridge!
Virginia Safari Park
Drive thru Safari Park with a large assortment of hungry animals that are eager to stick their whole head inside the open window of your vehicle, not because they want to eat you, but the food that you have purchased at the entrance. Be stingy with your food though, as there are several acres to cover. Best times to visit are early morning or later in the evening. These animals take cover from the heat in the middle of the day. Prepare for laughs, a bit of slobber, photo ops and great memories! It's one of our favorite places to visit.
