FAQs

Question

Do I need to complete both the survey and the RSVP?

Answer

Yes please! The guest survey at the top of the website is for cabin requests, special accommodations, and a few other planning details. Your official RSVP must still be submitted separately through the RSVP tab on this website.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by August 1st so we can finalize details and confirm headcounts with our vendors.

Question

What lodging is available?

Answer

- The venue includes several wood cabins available for guest use during the wedding weekend from Friday evening (18th) to Sunday morning (20th), free of charge. For more information about the cabins, see our "Travel" page. - If you’d like to reserve your spot in a cabin, whether for the full weekend or just one night, please fill out the survey at the top of our website as soon as possible. This helps us keep track of cabin interest and assign everyone a place to stay. - Please note that you do not need to reserve or book a cabin on your own. To request a cabin, simply complete the survey and we will handle the reservations and assignments. - Please let us know by our RSVP deadline on August 1st. If we do not receive your response by then, we will assume you will not be staying in a cabin. Late requests may not be able to be accommodated. - If you are staying in a cabin, we will reach out to you closer to the wedding date to give you the final details. - Other lodging can be found at nearby hotels in Pine or Payson, but you will be responsible for your own reservations and expenses - If you have any questions, please contact Bella (808-631-8568) or Devon (623-377-3680)

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We are starting promptly at 4:30pm, so please arrive at 4:00pm for seating

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Yes! Event parking will be available at the venue behind the office building on the right side just after the gate. Signs with arrows will help direct you.

Question

Is there cell reception/WiFi?

Answer

- Cell reception is spotty and depends on the carrier. T-Mobile works in some areas of the property, while Verizon is said to work the best; We're not sure about other carriers. There are no landlines. The main office will only allow use of the office phone in the case of an emergency. - The venue does have WiFi, but we have not personally tried it. The venue website states that high-speed WiFi is available, but "access may be limited to certain cabins and is not guaranteed."

Question

What is the drive like?

Answer

The drive is beautiful, but the road is quite twisty and turny, with 6-7% declines, and some cliffs off to the side. We suggest taking anti-nausea medication if you're prone to motion sickness.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

- Our dress code is semi-formal. - Our wedding colors lean toward warm fall and forest tones, but guests are welcome to wear any colors they love. We simply ask that white and ivory be reserved for the couple. - Weather in September can vary, but we are expecting warm daytime temperatures around 80F cooler evenings around 50F. There will be fire pit tables and heater umbrellas available if needed, but you may want to bring a coat or light jacket if you get cold easily. - Please also keep in mind that the venue includes soft grass, rocks, dirt, and wooden walkways. We recommend choosing shoes that are comfortable to walk and dance in, and avoiding stiletto-style heels if possible. - Need outfit inspiration? Check out our Guest Attire Ideas Google Drive folder: www.tinyurl.com/dbweddingattireideas Please note that these are just examples for inspiration and you do not need to match them exactly.

Question

Where is the reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held at the same venue

Question

What’s for dinner?

Answer

- Cocktail hour will have appetizers, including cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, and vegetables. - Dinner will be served buffet style and includes barbecue pulled pork, baked chicken (GF), Caesar salad (GF without dressing), a baked potato bar, and macaroni and cheese. - Dessert will include vanilla and chocolate cake with a berry filling and cream cheese buttercream, lemon cupcakes with raspberry buttercream, red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese buttercream, GF cinnamon green apple cupcakes with caramel buttercream, and GF SF chocolate chip pumpkin muffins.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Question

I have a food allergy/special accommodation, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please fill out our survey linked at the top of the website, and we will do our best to accommodate. If you are unable to access the survey or have additional questions, please reach out to Bella (808-631-8568) or Devon (623-377-3680).

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome, but be aware that there will be alcohol and loud music. There is a small playground with swings on the property that may be used.

Our venue has a few important rules to help keep everyone safe and comfortable: - Outside alcohol is not permitted due to liability considerations. - The venue is entirely smoke-free. Guests who wish to smoke may do so in the wooded areas or near the entrance gates. - Marijuana use is not allowed on the grounds. - Our bar will offer a curated selection of beverages, but shots will not be served. - Quiet hours begin at 10 p.m., at which time amplified music and DJ services must cease.
