When planning to travel to the city that never sleeps, take into consideration: rush hour. Morning rush hour is from roughly 7:30am-10am. Evening rush hour is from roughly 3:30pm-7:30pm. What does this mean? AVOID RIVER CROSSINGS (bridges, tunnels) AND ALL MAJOR HIGHWAYS AND MOST STREET DRIVING DURING RUSH HOUR. Consider attempting to arrive at your destination between 11am-3pm OR after 8pm, if you are staying in NYC and planning to arrive on a weekday, so that you are not waiting in bumper to bumper, stop and go traffic.
