Although our story did not *technically* begin the old fashion way like I had originally envisioned, our connection was so much bigger than strangers who met on Hinge. As it turned out, our families have been connected for the better part of 50+ years! Much of the McParlane, Murphy, Devine & Lord families went to school together in Detroit at St. Mary's of Redford, several of them growing up together in the same class even. When I learned Tim's last name was Devine, I thought, that is a very interesting coincidence that he shares a last name with my Dad's best man... no chance it's the same family! Turns out, it was. We connected very early on with similarities: the way we were raised, family values, our love of Michigan sports, soccer (even playing for the same club team growing up), the list goes on! There is no doubt there has been an invisible string as we grew up one mile away from each other in Livonia, and that string finally brought us together. We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you that have helped us grow and get to this point!
