The theme?

Answer

The wedding will be themed! Our theme is European Dark Ages/fantasy (think Princess Bride-style attire). We met through Dungeons & Dragons, so we wanted our spirit of adventure to continue into our wedding! If you'd rather not dress in theme, business casual is perfectly fine. We'd adore it if your kids joined in the fun with costumes, too! Bottom line: we're here to have a Wedding Adventure for the Ages!

Is this a child free event?

Answer

Children are more than welcome! We will have a face painter and activities throughout the evening for everyone to enjoy. We encourage cute costumes—bring on the dragons, fairies, princes, and princesses!

Will the wedding and reception be at the same location?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be held at Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Kent City, and the reception will be at Stonewater Country Club in Caledonia. Sam's grandfather helped expand the church, so it was an obvious choice for our special day.

Parking?

Answer

The church has another property across the street if we need it, and there will be plenty of parking at Stonewater.

Can I Wear full plate armor?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. Devin would be jealous, so wearing full armor is basically the same as wearing all white. BUT! We happily encourage dressing up! Our color theme is inspired by autumn leaves.
