Question

Is this a wedding?

Answer

No! We eloped in April. This is a party to celebrate the fact. We'll be borrowing some wedding traditions (speeches, for example) and leaving out others (unfortunately, no dancing, as we cannot play music. Although if you wanna bust a move in silence, be our guest).

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dressy casual. Think garden party. Colorful and snazzy is the name of the game. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND wearing flats over heels. There will be some walking, and we will be on lawn/grass with some uneven areas. We don't want any twisted ankles!

What's the parking situation?

Answer

There is free parking at the Village Green, along Obama Blvd. When you turn in off Cloverdale, parking is to both the left and right, but we recommend trying to the right. There tends to be more free spots in that direction. We also recommend carpooling as much as possible.

What about public transit?

Answer

The Village Green is very accessible by public transit, for those out of towners and people who hate driving. Depending on where you're coming from, you can take any of these routes: COMING FROM EAST/WEST: 105 Bus line. Get off at Obama / Cloverdale, which is directly in front of the meeting point. COMING FROM NORTH/SOUTH: 212 Bus line. Get off at La Brea / Obama Blvd. Walk 7 minutes west. METRO: E Line. Get off at Expo / La Brea. You can either walk 12 minutes from there, or catch a bus to get closer (see above).

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Unfortunately we will not be providing alcohol and we do not encourage BYOB. We will be in a semi-public shared space and do not want to risk getting in trouble with alcohol. Thank you for understanding.
