Where It All Began

The Wedding Website of Lexie Kopp and Devin Proutt

Their story began at 14 & 15 years old. Lexie and Danielle (Maid of Honour) were meeting Aaron (Groomsman) in Winnipeg Beach for Boardwalk Days. Lexie was standing in line at the ticket booth and Devin was in front of the arcade (pictured above) when they first met and felt an instant spark. They spent that summer crushing on each other. As it ended, he asked her to meet at the end of her street. He planned to kiss her goodbye, but nerves got the best of him and he gave her an awkward hug instead - a moment they still laugh about. Over the years they remained close. In 2017, while out with friends, they slipped away together and sang karaoke at another bar. Between the awful singing & a bit too much tequila, they realized how strong their connection was. Not long after, he began asking her out… and she kept declining - something he still likes to remind her of. Thankfully, his persistence paid off, she finally admitted to feeling the same way and they’ve been together ever since!
