As Told By Jorden: We had met once very briefly years ago through mutual friends, Paige and Drew. Devin and I were in very different phases of life. Devin was focused on work and in no way interested in any type of relationship. For me, I was actually in a different relationship at the time. However, that never stopped Drew from telling me over and over that Devin and I would be perfect for each other. I hate to admit that Drew was right, but he was. Over a year later, early July 2022, I went golfing with Paige and Drew. They had also invited Devin who met us there, and without asking, they made us ride in the golf cart together. It was a "fine" 9 holes. We got through it, had some fun, and that was that; No interest in each other from either party. That quickly changed. The following September, I met up with Paige and Drew, and a group of their friends downtown at a Lion's game. Devin was also there. We hung out all day long, and when we were walking back to our cars after the game, we snuck away from the group to have a drink together, and called it our first date. In Devin's words, I then pushed him up against the truck and kissed him against his will. Those are not my words, but from there we were inseparable, and the rest is history. As Told By Devin: The first time we met was at the Lion's tailgate back in 2021. Jorden being unavailable at the time, we shook hands and shrugged it off. The following year, I was working on a fence project and a group of our friends were all meeting up for a Tiger's game on a Saturday night. Drew and Paige kept nagging me to go saying "We want you to meet our good friend Jorden, she will be perfect for you." I blew them off and finished working. A few weeks later, they invited me golfing. Little did I know, they set us up on a blind date. I pulled up to the parking lot and saw a pretty blonde reaching into her trunk, pulling out her gold clubs. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. I walked into the club house and the same girl turned around and gave me a big hug and said "Hi Devin!" That's the moment I realized it was Jorden. We golfed together all day and needless to say, it was the worst that I have ever golfed. She made me so nervous, and she was hitting the ball so good, I couldn't even think straight. I was focused on my personal growth at the time, and also too scared to tell her that I was checking her out in the parking lot, so nothing came of it. A couple months later, we all met up again at a tailgate for the Lion's. We ended up partying and sitting next to each other at the game...the rest is history! We were playing cornhole and both throwing 4-baggers. That's when I fell in love with her competitiveness. At this point she could sense how attracted I was to her. Soon, she walked up to me, pushed me into my truck, and started making out with me. The following weekend we golfed together again, and again, she made me so nervous but this time, we both knew each other's feelings. A couple weeks later, she invited me up to her cabin in West Branch and I could tell she was so nervous!! We ended up driving up together October 7, 2022. Jorden was so prepared and had the whole weekend planned out. Buffalo chicken dip, chili, fishing and drinking beer...but when I realized how much I liked her was when I tried her breakfast burrito...AMAZING. On the way home, I realized that I needed to jump on this opportunity and make us official. Again, being so nervous, I had her stop at a bar so I could drink a few beers to take the edge off. On the way home, going over the Zilwaukee bridge, I asked her to be mine, and I have been the happiest that I have ever been since.
